EPS is a lightweight, rigid, foam insulation material produced from solid beads of styrene. No CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) are used to manufacture EPS. Unlike other materials, such as paper, EPS does not degrade and will not leach any substances into groundwater, nor will it form harmful gases, such as methane, in the ozone. EPS is also 100% recyclable and can be reused or remanufactured into new products.
